Who We Are
The Design Federation is comprised of an eclectic team, with backgrounds ranging from traditional design and media to advertising, copywriting and fashion.Craig Bourke + Klaus Kinski + Estelle Pigot + James Bourbon + Carolyn Miller + Katerina Roth + David Goldberg + Dominique Falla + Bianca Milani + Jordan Clarke + Ian Ellis +
Craig graduated from the University of Western Sydney in 2005 with a Bachelor of Design Studies. He is interested in all approaches to design – from web and graphics to interior and furniture design. As well as cofounding the Design Federation, Craig runs a successful design shop with Klaus Kinski.
Klaus graduated from the school of not so hard knocks, and has been living in relative comfort for many years (Sipping on Congac and smoking Cubans to the tunes of Bebel Gilberto). When he is not busy being Clyde to Craigs Bonnie for their design business, Klaus has been known to punch out cliched T-Shirts over at Sweat-Shop Productions.
Writer & Events Co-ordinator
Playing Blanche to our Bob, Estelle is the illegitimate mistress of Design Federation. A Thesaurus Rex of a wordsmith with a wicked knack for plotlines and five years hard-time working for the leading fashion houses of Australia under her belt. She is our woman on the ground for all things high brow, low brow and damn sexy.
Writer & Events Co-ordinator

Hello. I have just recently moved to Melbourne from Hobart, Tasmania. I have a masters degree in architecture. I graduated during the recession. Thus…resulting in no job. So I bought a camera. I used to steal my fathers camera as child. I love books [I have only just re-discovered them] & fine liner pens. I document events/party/night scenes around Hobart and Melbourne. You may know me as ‘An Architect Photographed My Undies’. I eat croissants and sip watered down tea. I once owned a hydraulic clothesline that came in handy when I had guests. I had a tree with no life, that just wouldn’t move out and get a job. I used to search for a photographic moment. Now it finds me. I will be there photographing your latest event for the Design Federation Crew.
Jordan Clarke is a freelance illustrator, designer and artist based in Sydney. She’s a complete night-owl, preferring the hush and solitude of the night for artistic endeavours. When she’s not living in her vintage, retro, ephemera, weird and wonderful bubble she does a spot of tweeting for DF among other things. She has a soft spot for herbal teas in mismatched teacups, ignoring the phone and daydreaming.
Sir. Ellis is DF’s resident Geordie, fresh in from the Queen’s England. Having fled the British Isles for sunny Oz where he left behind a murky MI5 file that records deep-breathing server farms and code scrambling, his hands still sticky from fence-climbing street art shenanigans. This maverick design connoisseur has a penchant for spray paint , a taste for typography and a constitution for code. His destiny changed forever after he stumbled through the doors of the Federation Annual party and he has been bound to us like a chained convict ever since. Some of his hardships include building the Design Federation phone app when he is not programming for a dark entity we know only as Fox Sports.
