What what what.. How many whats can a man do..? But what is going on?
In the news today I find this little beauty that has made my day due to the absurdity of it all. So what on earth was this woman thinking by wearing the keffiyeh around her neck for an ad about a milkshake?! The ad meeting must have gone something like this:
chef lady: “Im going to wear one of those cool scarves in the ad”
adman: “oh wow, that will be so so so so edgy, i looooove it”

At its April 2007 meeting Leichhardt Council voted unanimously to form a Sister City/ Friendship Agreement with El Khalil (Hebron) in Palestine. Councillors are to be congratulated for the compassion and solidarity with one of the most beleaguered cities in Occupied Palestine. The Council voted to investigate the establishment of a friendship or sister city relationship with the City of Hebron in Palestine along similar lines as that with Maliana in Timor Leste and report back to Council on the possibilities. It was only the other day when american corporations declared war on individuals. Now it seems australia wants to copy our sister america, and throw people in the big house for downloading music (article here). “We would hope that the ISPs and the record companies could come up with an alternative solution,” said MIPI general manager Sabiene Heindl. Well if Radiohead can come up with a decent solution, how come people earning hundreds of zillions of dollars cant? Look, lets be honest, artists who work hard deserve to be paid out the frame like donahue (ice-t), but we all know half these executives dont have a creative bone in their bodies so why should they be getting paid all the big money? Michael Franti encourages people to go to his shows/concerts and record them and share them, and he seems to do ok.
People will always pay for good music, its just how much do these big companies want that is the problem.
