What what what.. How many whats can a man do..? But what is going on?

In the news today I find this little beauty that has made my day due to the absurdity of it all. So what on earth was this woman thinking by wearing the keffiyeh around her neck for an ad about a milkshake?! The ad meeting must have gone something like this:

chef lady: “Im going to wear one of those cool scarves in the ad”
adman: “oh wow, that will be so so so so edgy, i looooove it”

According to Michelle Malkin (Amerikkka’s answer to Piers Ackerman?)

The keffiyeh, for the clueless, is the traditional scarf of Arab men that has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad. Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant (and not-so-ignorant) fashion designers, celebrities, and left-wing icons.

And that is correct Michelle M , the scarf is worn only by terrorists and those who support terrorism. It’s kind of like wearing a KKK outfit down the street, because as the KKK is a society all about hatred and the same must be said for the keffiyeh as every Palestinian must be a terrorist.

I have a very close friend who is from a Palestinian background and has been wearing his scarf for years. He said he wore it in winter because of the cold and also because he supports the struggle in Palestine. He also said he always finds it weird seeing attractive young ladies wearing the scarf, wondering if they have any idea of Middle East conflict or they purely wear it because it’s cool to be “dangerous”.

Now that’s one of the beauties of fashion, it can be as absurd as it can be brilliant. One person’s national scarf can become anothers edgy accessory, and for some absolute morons, a symbol of terrorism.
