Eco-Chic

At last, we can see the fashion industry is slowly coming onboard the environmental revolution in a serious way. Industry trade fairs are increasingly showcasing sustainable fabrics and manufacturing techniques that cater to the emerging market that seeks Eco-chic garments made of environmentally sensitive fabrics and made responsibly.

Having long relied on Asia to provide competitively low-cost fabrics and production, the high cost has ultimately been to the environment. Earth Pledge claims on their site “At least 8,000 chemicals are used to turn raw materials into textiles and 25% of the world’s pesticides are used to grow non-organic cotton. This causes irreversible damage to people and the environment, and still two thirds of a garment’s carbon footprint will occur after it is purchased.”

adman: “oh wow, that will be so so so so edgy, i looooove it”

Lazy Dog, Australian sleepwear for girls, guys and kids

lazt dog

Lazy Dog is a brand of sleepwear, which is all about lazing around on a Sunday, in your favourite PJ’s with your dog at your feet.

Each season our range aims to be super soft and comfy, therefore all our fabrics are not only chosen for their wash and wear longevity but for their soft hand feel and comfort.

Our cotton poplin is sand washed for extra softness, our flannel is brushed for that cosy feel and we only use the softest combed cotton jersey.

The Lazy dog signature is our strong emphasis on original, fun and quirky prints, and the use of fresh and vivid colour palettes. Inspiration for our prints comes from what is relevant in the fashion, art and textile worlds, making each range unique.

Our styling is always loose and comfortable and all ranges are available for girls, guys and kids.

oye modern

Jeni at Oye Modern emailed us to let us know about her new online jewellery store in which most of the designers are Australian, so why not support local talent and check it out.

oye

Oye Modern is an online contemporary jewellery store, offering unique, original, and hard-to-find jewellery by emerging and independent designers.

We know how frustrating it was to find great jewellery online. No more. We take pride in selecting designers and designs that will delight and excite you. Our jewellery is typically hand made by the designer, limited run, and so unique you won’t see anyone else wearing the same piece as you.
