Anyone who knows anything about design has at least seen one issue of IDN. It’s that uber sexy design mag – by designers, for designers – and I am here to tell you I HATE IT!

The first time I read it, it seriously almost gave me a feeling of being on acid. I was dissociated and lost in its sea of pretty design and awkward layout. You don’t know where the articles start or finish, which is the artists work or is actual page layout, or even sometimes what the sections are about.

It is unreadable.

Maybe there is some secret society that I don’t seem to be a part of, and that’s why I don’t understand the genius of it all.

Or maybe it’s just meant to be seen and not read.

Or maybe, just maybe, it’s not made for humans.

Call the cops, because it’s true, I hate IDN.

Yen Magazine and Myspace are running a tshirt design competition open to all Australians.
