Timba Smits stabbed on London bus helping elderly

Design Federation was shocked to learn today that Melbourne artist, illustrator and typographer extraordinaire Timba Smits was stabbed in the leg in London whilst defending elderly passengers on a bus. 

Timba, publisher of the Wooden Toy Quarterly magazine has been in London for the past 18 months after winning the British Council award for talented Australian artists. He is in hospital for another few nights and says “I’m pretty sore but feeling very lucky.”

    I was absolutely floored and shocked to read the article. Disgusting to read those cowards were harassing elderly and mothers. Hope Timba recovers soon.

    wow this is crazy, being in London myself I have no idea how something like this could happen… some people are just disgusting!
