Apple Challenges Woolworths on logo

The Sydney Morning Herald reveals that Apple is launching legal action against Woolworths in a bid to stop the retailer from using a new branding motif. Design Federation reported on Woolworths’ new look back in January, which features a stylised W.

Apple claims that potential customers will be confused by the similarities.

While we note there is resemblance in shape, how can you trademark a naturally-occurring fruit? Apple is being mean!
