bim kenesis, its like telekenis only funky

July 9th, 2007

Fans of Bim Kenesis will be glad to know that the label is back with its breakthrough summer collection, The Sarsaparilla Gang. Drawing inspiration from 1930 gangster flicks, bumbling crooks, speakeasies and seductive songstresses, this collection is fresh, playful, and undeniably charming.

Staying true to the ethos of Bim Kenesis, the range is thoughtfully designed to be sophisticated, quirky, and highly wearable. With a palette created from inky blues, zingy lilacs, moody greys, high shine silvers and summer essential white, The Sarsaparilla Gang is guaranteed to set you apart from the crowd.

Bree Kiddey is the creative 25 year old designer behind the Bim Kenesis label, now in its third year. Using skills honed through a Curtin University Fashion and Textile degree, Bree has infused the collection with exclusive art-deco inspired prints and thoughtful geometric detailing. “It’s been exciting this season to develop my own print to give the label a unique stamp and vision. Hopefully in the future I will be able to build on this to give an individual, one of a kind feel to every piece in a collection”, says Bree.

With something for every occasion this summer, The Sarsaparilla Gang features versatile dresses, must-have denim separates, bodysuits and t-shirt dresses. Details such as feminine frills, cutouts, reversible details and original shapes and finishes ensure that each piece is a signature garment. Natural fibres and unique finishes define the range, which features cotton jerseys and voiles, along with linens, pure silks and raw denims.

The new Bim Kenesis collection promises not to disappoint the ever increasing list of stockists and fans who admire the label’s distinctive aesthetic. The Sarsaparilla Gang looks set to be another sell out season for the up and coming label.
