Syd Mead is regarded as the greatest concept designer of the 20th century. He is the visionary artist behind some of the most iconic, and inspirational, science fiction movies of this era including BLADE RUNNER, TRON, STAR TREK THE MOTION PICTURE, ALIENS and 2010.
His work has also spanned a diverse array of projects including a plane interior for the former King of Saudi Arabia’s private 747, a luxury yacht for Donald Trump, car designs for Ford, electronics for Philips and various cruise ships.
He was the visual genius behind many seminal Hollywood films and most recently he worked on Mission Impossible 3. Other films include Short Circuit, Time Cop, Johnny Mnemonic and the anime series GUNDAM MOBILE SUIT – TURN A.
Mead is a legendary figure in the design world and his work is sought after by collectors around the globe.
