Let the Youngblood run free..

This summers Youngblood Designers Markets were held on Friday 7th and Saturday the 8th of December at the Powerhouse Museum, so Tiger and myself decided to go and check it out.

Arriving late in the day to avoid the crowds we found our way to the entrance and entered the room, walking around until we found our good friend Lang Leav of Akina who told us she had an excellent couple of days selling her goodies and you can see why from the photos below, as I have said before, her work is exquisite! Just behind Langs stall were the girls Pepa Martin and Karen Davis from shibori studio who were selling among other things, bags, and cute little mousemats which tiger took a fancy to so we purchased a couple. Next to shibori, were me and amber selling their range of cards, badges, artblocks and the like. We picked up a petite little artwork 10×10cm which will make an excellent gift just in time for christmas.

Also catching the eye was the stall of Helen Punton from Zaishu selling her range of “artwork that functions as seat, table or box”. The patterns and designs were quite impressive and would make an excellent addition to anyones living room or study.

Everyone who attended would have been very tempted to purchase something as there was an excellent range on offer from the 35 talented designers/artists of which we have mentioned but a few, and as always if you missed out this year, dont forget to go next year and take a look for yourself.
