This study is the fifth in a series commissioned by the Australia Council and conducted independently by Professor David Throsby from Macquarie University. Anita Zednik was the co-author of this study.

MyPlace-MyFace contest controversy

Isabella Melody Moore & Amy Tuxworth are two women at the centre of a controversial decision allegedly by someone involved with the MyPlace-MyFace contest who deemed the photo “Bibs Hotel” which is the 2 women on a bed naked as allegedly inappropriate to win a prize.

THE Wesley Mission charity has been accused of censorship after blocking a “tasteful” photo of two topless women from winning a prize in a photographic competition backed by the City of Sydney.

Adam Pynacker v Sam Leach

The picture on the left was painted circa 1660 and is titled “Boatmen Moored on the Shore of a Lake” by Adam Pynacker.
The picture on the right won the $25,000 2010 Wynne Prize for an Australian landscape and is titled “Proposal for Landscaped Cosmos” by Sam Leach.
